To go live with your portal, you will need to add the link to your portal on your website. There are a couple of ways of doing this. In this article, we want to discuss the most popular.
Note that Return Magic does not support natively to embed your portal in another page, you can only add content above and/or below your portal and link the page itself.
First, you'll want to find the link to your return portal. Just click on "Return Portal" on the top right of your dashboard:
You can then copy the link of your portal and use it to send customers to that page.
If the "Return Portal" button does not take you to your return portal, it is most likely because you've customized the link to your portal. To check, head to your Apps:
Here is what you can do to send customers to your portal:
- Add your return policy on your portal directly (examples of Jouer Cosmetics)
- Add a link to your return portal on your policy page (examples of Midori Bikinis and Alo Yoga)
- Send your customers directly to your portal, and add a link on the portal to your full return policy (example of Supra) - i.e. there is no direct link in the menu to your returns FAQ
How to add your return portal to a menu on your website?
Depending on how your website is built, adding the link to your return portal in your header or footer menus can be done in a multitude of ways. Here's how to do this with Shopify.
If you choose to send your customers directly to the portal without going through a returns FAQ page, make sure your return policy is stated on your portal page. This is something you can edit in your Settings > Portal > Content.
How to add your return portal to your return policy page?
You can also choose to add a link to your return portal directly in your return policy page. In this case, you can choose not to add your return policy directly on the portal. We do always recommend having the most important points of your return policy on the portal so that customers do not have to navigate to and from your return policy while requesting their return.
Just add a link to your return portal within your returns FAQ page.
